Leadership Rooted in Awareness and Action
My journey into coaching started over 15 years ago as a yoga teacher, guiding students to connect mind, body, and spirit. It was on the yoga mat that I first realized the profound link between physical awareness and leadership presence. I learned that true leadership begins from within, and that self-awareness is the key to unlocking both personal and collective potential. This realization became a cornerstone of my coaching philosophy—whether in the yoga studio or the corporate boardroom, I help leaders step into their full power by connecting to their inner resources.
Over time, my passion for empowerment expanded beyond the yoga studio. I saw the need for leadership that emphasizes mindfulness, equity, and human-centered values, particularly in industries like architecture, design, and construction. With nearly 15 years of experience in executive sales and consulting, including my most recent role as a workplace consultant for a Steelcase partner, I knew that my next step was to merge my real-world experience with my holistic approach to leadership.
As a certified Gestalt executive coach, I now specialize in helping professionals lead with confidence, creativity, and a deep understanding of their own potential. Gestalt coaching has taught me that leadership is about more than just achieving individual success; it’s about cultivating self-awareness, fostering collective growth, and creating workplaces that are equitable, innovative, and sustainable. I coach my clients to sit with discomfort, push past their limitations, and embrace their true leadership potential.
Grounded in Experience and Growth
In addition to my coaching practice, I hold a BS in Interior Design and an MA in Women, Gender, Spirituality, and Social Justice. These academic experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of gender equity, personal growth, and fostering inclusive workplaces. Currently, I am completing my Gestalt International Study Center certification, and expect to graduate as a certified Gestalt coach in November 2024. My holistic approach to leadership coaching is also deeply informed by my experience as a motherhood activist, scholar, and 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher.
Championing Motherhood Activism
My work in motherhood activism is a deep-rooted part of my journey and passion for creating equitable, supportive environments for working mothers. From my MA capstone project, MotherBLOOM, which focused on the power of maternal leadership, to founding the Rebel Mothers podcast, I’ve dedicated much of my career to amplifying the voices and experiences of mothers. Through my work as a Board Member of International Association for Maternal Action and Scholarship (IAMAS), I’ve continued to advocate for the critical role mothers play, not only in their families but in the broader societal and professional landscapes. I understand firsthand the unique challenges of balancing work and motherhood, and this experience profoundly shapes my approach to coaching. My goal is to help working mothers step into their leadership potential with confidence and resilience, knowing that they can thrive both at home and in their careers.
A Holistic Approach to Leadership
I believe leadership is about showing up fully—at work and at home. Through my coaching, I support professionals in finding the balance they need to thrive in all areas of life. My work combines practical tools and real-world experience with a deep understanding of human connection, making my coaching style both innovative and effective. Whether you’re navigating complex challenges on the job site, leading a creative team, or seeking personal growth, my coaching helps you unlock the potential within.
A Life Rooted in Purpose
I live in Virginia with my husband, three children, two dogs, and a dozen chickens. When I’m not coaching or teaching, you can find me solving Wordle, kayaking on the lake, or baking my famous ginger cookies. My life is full, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Through all of my personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to realize that leadership, at its core, is about creating meaningful connections and driving positive change—and I’m here to help you do the same.
Leadership isn’t easy, but it can be fulfilling in ways you didn’t even imagine.
